Toothaches are generally caused by tooth decay in both children and adults. But this does not mean that just because you have a toothache, you have a decaying tooth. The acid can eat through your enamel which is your teeth’s outer coating.

Anyone can have a toothache. You can have one too even if you take perfect care of your teeth although you will be getting them less often of course. People who do not take food care of their teeth get a lot of toothaches.

Pain is the number one indication that you have a toothache. The pain will always be there and will get worse every time you eat something. But sometimes some people can not determine whether they have toothaches or they just have very sensitive teeth in which both cases are different from the other.

After rinsing your mouth then use dental floss to remove food that could be stuck between your teeth that can be causing the toothaches. Then brush your teeth after to remove anything else that can be built up on your teeth.
