Type II Diabetes is a disease that either affects the amount of insulin your body, the pancreas to be exact, produces or affects how the body responds to the insulin your pancreas produces. Diet is of extreme importance to someone with diabetes, because food is the reason insulin is produced. It works in conjunction with glucose to provide the energy for your body to function and glucose comes from the food we eat. Interestingly, exercise has a profound effect on glucose and insulin levels as well. Imagine that diet and exercise help with the utilization of glucose and insulin to help regulate your body’s energy…sounds like possible scientific proof that diet and exercise can help you lose weight and feel more energized..well not only that but in the case of diabetes it can help regulate the insulin levels in the body..
